aem is better but honestly, i'd look for a discontinued Comptech intake :) Those things are suweet

Just get a gay 3 inch intake and a good filter. Perhaps a K&N filter that way you get a good intake for half the cost.

no no no no no.

The reson why cheap intake systems are cheap. is because they do not fully polish the inside of the tube as well. along with there shitty filters.

look at any name brand aluminium intakes, if they arn't powder coated, then they are made from mirror polished aluminium. but not only is the outer of the tube polished, but the inside is as well.

next time you get to inspect an ebay intake, or like knock-off system, take notice and feel the inners of the intake tube. you feel that grittyness? fine powder? That will eventually wear your valve seats away and cause premature wear to your motor.

The name brand intakes have this grit polished to a shine as to prevent that material from being taken into the engine.

this is not the only difference but it is one of the major resons that i never ever use ebay/ knockoff aluminium intakes.
