Alright the D16z6 I know is a newer motor then the crap in my CRX.
I need to know what all I need besides this stuff:
Block
Head
Intake Mani
Header
To make it run and work in my rex...
If I remember right I need a wiring harness for obd0 to obd1, a dizzy jumper harness and a new ECU is there anything else I'm forgetting?

If your crx is the si model then just buy a vtec head it will be better than a Z6. If its not the si model you should swap the motor.
1989 Honda CRX DX is what I have. Its the 5speed DPFI model, which I have been told is the DX.

you could run it DPFI but i wouldnt. just do the MPFI swap and a OBD0-OBD1 jumper and a P28
So I need to find the jumper harness, p28 ECU and get help doing the DPFI to MPFI swap...
Hm, how much do the harnesses usually go for?

yeah you would also need the distributor for the mpfi since it has sensors the dpfi one doesn't.
so mpfi swap, jumper harness, obd1 ecu (p28), obd1 dizzy and the head. if you get a head with the dizzy and intake attached would be good. also different timing belt since it's a different cam gear. there's a whole bunch of write-ups if you're doing the mini me. if you get a whole swap then just the other stuff.
I'm buying a D16z6 from another AZHT member and the only thing the motor/head is missing is the pistons and rods. It is coming with a complete head intake w/ dizzy so I need the mpfi swap the ecu and the jumper harness and I should be good to go right?
Anyone near the mesa area able to do a MPFI swap cheap? heh

i could do the swap but i am not in mesa
how much for ya to come out to mesa and do the swap? Cause I can't take the car anywhere the motor is fried until the z6 goes in.

Hey dude i just moved from indiana. I had a 1990 crx dx that i converted to obd-0 to obd-1 and dpfi to mpfi. I used this harness http://www.boomslang.us/obd0to1.htm , works great I put in a d15b but thats basicly the same as putting in a d16z6. Let me know if you still need help im down with finding some shit to do until i get a job. LATER

well since its d series you can use the same mounts but i would prefer polyurithane and also a jumper to convert to obd1 its only two wires so dont freak out also if you want to run VTEC you need the z6 ecu
