The purpose of this meet: get together, chill have fun and promote each meet of each month for accord owner ACCROSS AZ to know.so they can join up..

The plan: im sorry for saying this but my car have a problem rigth now and i have to fix it..but i dont know if i can fix it in time for the meet...but i hope that i will be there....and wait for other peopel.and here is my number 714 548 0315.give me a call before the meet or anything about the meet ( location, driving direction anythign ) First off WE MEET UP AT 6 and stay there and chill, take picture, camcorder, discuss about car, tuning, get laids back, and we will go crusing around at 80PM..some twisted road, or cruise at mills ave..then maybe go to tempe town lake for better scenerio for taking picture or camcorder...bring something interested..

Jake-are you using silverstar bulbs, or bulbs that have a blue film on them? they do tend to burn out quicker than standard bulbs. I had a silverstar bulb last a month on me once. I've since switched back to OEM bulbs and have not had a problem in years.

that is your answer there. any of the ultra brite type bulbs have a tendency to blow quicker than regular bulbs, plus if you touch those bulbs the grease on your fingers will burn the bulbs up real quick. if you touch the bulb that is what could have happened. I'd recommend just sticking with OEM style bulbs or switching over to a HID retro. if you just throw in HIDs into your stock housings its not a good idea. you will have a ton of glare and you will draw attention to yourself at night and risk a cop pulling you over for your HIDs. you need a clear beam cutoff so you do not blind people thus go do a retro if you go the HID route.;)

do it all now, if you don't they won't cover any of it under warranty. and the warranty isn't much of a warranty. when my 2nd engine went the timing belt tensioner failed and shreaded my timing belt. TSP went to every honda dealership in the valley to get them to honor the failed part but Honda told them they had to prove the part failed. Honda pretty much told me to go eat a bag of shit. A new timing belt doesn't cost much, all the parts needed really don't cost too much. if everything it outside of the motor and its really easy to work on, its going to cost you less in the long run. why bring it back later? Its a lot harder and more labor intensive to work on the car while the motor is in. Suck it up and do it right the first time. you don't want to cut corners and use a used timing belt. if it snaps or shreads 20K into the life of the engine you'll have noone but yourself to blame and you'll have to get another engine. once our timing belts go, you can bend the valves, tick the pistons, and get a new engine. and what's with the ALL CAPS BEING ON? ARE YOU YELLING?

Stock for stock, and H22 can keep up with a k20, but once you start modding the vehicles, the k20 will win.

I am a huge J series fan, but honestly, the ones in the 1998-2002 Accords weren't fast at all, and the ones in the 7th gens aren't invincible either. The new stock auto tranny Camry V6 will pretty much trounce most bolt on 7th gens, even the 6 speeds. If they don't trounce it, it probably makes for a very good race.

I know because I have a 2006 Accord V6. Had a 6th gen too. You are all neglecting the weight aspect of the power to weight ratio. My 1990 Accord weighs 3000lbs with me in it. My 2006 weighs about 600lbs more with me in it. I don't NEED as much power to accelerate the 1990.

To me 11 seconds isn't fast. :sad1: The problem with straight line acceleration, is that you can never have enough. Eventually, you get used to it. After flying airplanes for years, the accelerative forces in cars just typically don't light my fire anymore, unless they are crazy fast. ::shrug::

That is why I prefer cars that are fun to drive and handle well, because then the fun doesn't wear out as fast.

You don't have to tell me about the virtues of the Accord. I have owned every generation since the 3rd gen, and have loved every one. They are great cars. They have a lot of virtures, and I like the fact that they do a good job of walking the line between having a lot of potential performance wise (especially handling), and being a great everyday car. But having said that, if your goal is all out acceleration, there are other, better ways to go.

I have also known of 11 second Accords, but they were not NA, so I am curious to see these cars you speak of.

Anyway, like I said, I came in here to look and see about the information for the meet and whether or not I wanted to go, and all I saw was a conversation with 2 guys that appeared to be bashing on the H series. Considering it is by far the most common swap in 4th 5th and 6th gen Accords, I thought that maybe it would deter people from wanting to go the meet. It did me.

First off, Chris, myself & the other moderation staff would like to thank the positive and helpful contributing members of the board that has helped some part of this site stay alive.

2007 will see the dawn of a new age for AZHT members, current and new. In 2007 we will be rolling out many changes. Some will be implemented quickly and some will be built along the year.

First will be implementing a whole new set of terms and conditions. You can locate these anytime by clicking on the FAQ link near the user CP. These rules are not up for debate, and may be slightly modified as we see fit. AZHT support staff will be severely cracking down on immaturity, scammers, trash talking, and all around bad people.

Effective today is a new 2 strike rule. You have 1 warning, 2nd time you will be instantly IP banned, and not welcome back. The daycare center has closed people, and we are looking to expand the board on maturity, and a community as a whole. We will be no longer divided by our differences, our hate for one another, nor our opinions. Posts, topics and opinions will be respected at all times. There will be ZERO toleration for hatered, immaturity and senseless bashing of one another.

As you noticed the buyer seller feedback forum is gone, within the next couple weeks we will be implementing iTrader software to keep track of your transactions. It is an eBay like system to help everyone in their endeavors to sell and buy items on this site.

If you have any questions, please post mature comments here or PM a moderator or administrator. In the next week or so we are going to be turning to people to help us out. This means looking for moderators for individual sections. Sections like the vendor and classifieds section will have their own moderating staff and so on.

We look forward to the positive changes here this year, and hope we have your support. Help keep this board fun, clean and a great community for any automotive fan.

I have read every Accord meet thread on here, and you are always trying to recruit new people, but at the same time you engage in coversation that would make a large potential group of Accord owners feel unwelcome. Lots of Accord guys have H series engines. That just might give a 6 speed V6 coupe a fair run for its money.

So if you want to have an "exclusive" Accord meet, or an invite only Accord meet, then you should do it via PM, and not on a public thread. That way people who think ANY Accord owner is welcome, will not be confused.
