Is it possible to just run a toggle switch on VTEC and use my stock CRX HF ECU for a minime? I dont know why I never thought of this before...

i don't see why you COULDN'T, but I don't see the point either. It's not like you can help yourself by flipping the swith ata lower rpm or something. That cam profile is only gonna help you at it's designated rpm. that's the idea behind VTEC. It's so you can have the best of both worlds; bottom end power and idle quality AND good top end too. With that cam profile running at idle, it's STILL going to suck ass til it get's up in the revs. Just have the car tuned by a tuner worth his fees, and he'll be able to setup that ecu to cross over into vtec at the optimal time.

Or you could buy a vtec controller, some go for about 150

Or do it the right way and get an OBD1 jumper and P28 ecu. Thats what I would do but hey just my .02

ya seriously pete is right!!!! but hey, it is a single cam, i bet that u could run Vtec on all the time and u wouldnt notice lol... GL homie..

yup ive dun it before. works good. pop vtec wenever u want to. haha its kinda fun. but a lil on the ghetto side.
