Can't get over 4000rpm !!!!!!!!!!!

Long story short. Killed my F20B block. Swapped F20B head onto H22JDM block. Am using EXACT setup as before (which ran great), yet after all is said and done speedometer is dead, and VTEC is impossible and it will not rev past 4000.

Here's what I have determined:

IACV-it's connected to VSS
VSS- it's connected to speedometer and IACV-----Replaced
ECU- Neptune P28 by Joe at LOCASH
or my FAVORITE-----wiring harness

Any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated

Limp mode maybe?

Thanks Sparkles......I had a feeling......I guess I need to call Joe and ship an ECU out just to double check...

Not stupid.....very reasonable. When I swapped ecu's it gave me a CEL17. I cleared it and reinstalled current ECU.....no code on this one. SO.....I know that the VSS is good, as is the IACV, including the wiring. Only one more thing to check.....ECU. The really strange thing is that I replaced the VSS socket (sensor side) and still no speedometer. I am all but positive it is the ECU.. Man, those things are sensitive....I guess I'll get it a box of Kleenex!!!!
Any other input or ideas????

reset your ecu, should help? had the same problem with my fit the other day

that sucks ur car didnt even just go into limp mode, it went into safety mode....

Its going to be the ecu i have had the similar problem many times with the swaps i do

try your distrubuter it did that to me on my swap
would not let me go over 5k rpm no vtec and now it works fine

oil pressure? same thing happened to me and i was low on oil.

Great oil pressure......40-80 psi....just wish this thing would work......heh heh heh

What did you do to the dizzy???? I checked the timing on it at TDC at the flywheel and the cams.....all was good. Rotor points at Number one plug, so I know it's not 180deg out, and it is 15deg dead-on for running timing. Any other ideas???
