The second Gen Legend, which is the one I assume you are after, does not bear a lot of similarities to the Accord.

The drivetrain is mounted longitudinally like a rear wheel drive cars. As far as suspension goes, there are not a lot of similarities there either, but it was still a fairly capable car.

The biggest issue is that the 3.2 Liter C32 V6 had a slight head gasket issue. Some cars have had no trouble, and it is possible that it was a lack of maintenance that contributed to the deterioration of the HG material, but that is just speculation.

All in all, they are really nice cars, and really have a classic, and classy look.

If it were me, I would try to find a GS sedan, and although rare and somewhat expensive, they could be had with a 6 speed manual transmission, and they were also equipped with the Type II V6. This engine was good for 230HP. You can also get the Type II and the manual in the coupes, where it is more common, but I personally prefer the sedans.

Here are a few links that should help you out. I am sure they have more knowledge than I do. Good luck, and Godspeed.
