07 FIT or 07 YARIS [Archive]

im in the middel of buyin a new car i can get a FIT for $320 a month or i can get an YARIS for $265 a month... just tell what you guys would do if you were in my shoes at this point...

I say Yaris but my way of thinking is different. Yaris gets better gas mileage and is cheaper. Leaves more money to play around with if you wanted to. Travel, buy different goodies you want, or fix up a cheaper project car if thats whats on your mind.

I'm guessing the rather big disparity in payments is base model vs base model.

What is your price range and where are you getting your financing from?

I personally would rather have a fit, its a little Xb'ish in its proportions which makes it look less like a clown car. As far as mileage is concerned I would wait a little if you can, the new fit is supposed to be comming in a year or two and will dramatically better gas mileage according to Honda. Its currently to close in respects to the civic.

the yaris doesn't look good in my opinion. the fit has good style and will probly hold value more then that throw away car that is the yaris.

theyve only been out for a year. how can you tell what people will want in a used car in 5 years or so? the interior of the yaris is shitty compared to the fit

i do like the yaris too, tein's and hoosiers = 1g on the skid pad for the 4dr in scc, not too shabby, i wonder what tein's and hoosiers will do to the fit?

FIT! for the love of god. I considered a yaris for like a day before I test drove the fit and fell in love. I have practically nothing done to my fit but it looks sexy and is a blast to drive. Yaris FTL!!

Plus, aside from all the normal crap, the fit is HUGE inside. The seats fold in all kinds of crazy ways and theres just not much that wont fit in there.

personally i like the fit, but for the reasons mentioned about a yaris maybe a better choice (the lower monthly, possible lower insurance, and the lower depreciation values)

I disagree. The fit has a faster slalom time than a z06 vette. That might be all it has a on a vette, but at least its something haha.

The fit seriously handle amazing. If you havnt driven one, you should give it a chance.

well yes, they handle well but I'm still no fan. I felt like i was driving a fucking rollerskate. but keep in mind I'm 6'0" and weight like 240 so.. small isn't exactly a good thing for me. hell i even feel gianomous in my civic.

x2 i would get the fit as well, but it depends on what you want to get out of it, if you want a tuner, get the fit, if you want a small family car the yaris is probably the way too go, as it has been explained cheaper payments as well as cheaper ins..
