H22 Swap in the EK?

i just got a price from toxictuning, they want 4300, unless thats a brand new motor and tranny, thats more then im willing to spend

I have a complete h22 ek swap for sale including hasport mounts,axles, and they also did the wiring. also included is shift cables and shifter. everything is there need to put it in an ek. took it out of my ek and sold the shell ran perfect when taken out. The motor is a red top h22 type s last serviced by tsp before parked and parted out where they did a tune up and also veryified it is a type s. the motor has skunk 2 cam gears and dc header also aem furl rail and fpr. the tranny i bought seperate from motor and comes with act 6 puck clutch. i have everything needed to put in ek including slim fan and radiator. need to sell 3500 OBO

Im looking at doing this project as well. I have a 98 coupe and like the more torque! Correct me if Im wrong but the h22 doesnt bolt right in, correct. there's need for some fabrication on mounts as well as the center console where the shifter comes into the inside of the car right? How many miles on the 3500 setup and what type of tranny is it? lsd? Im interested

im deciding to go with a B16 swap, just waiting to see if i can get financed. it an easier swap and a cheaper swap. and the power difference isn't that far apart from a h22, i'm thinking get a venom mani, aem fuel rail and upgrade the cam shafts, and i'll be quicker then the h22, what do you think?

I was thinking about going with a b16 swap kuz its cheap and easy and then getting bigger cams some bolt ons and then maybe ls/vtec or poor mans type r. The more and more I research, the more I compare prices and see that the cost to get the b16,stock 170 hp and 113 trq..not whp but just hp, it is simialr and probably even more than doing the h22, 200 hp 161 tq or even type S 220 hp 163 tq... Sure the h22 is a bit heavier but thats y u wud have to upgrade suspension and brakes, but thats a given with any good swap. So...Im leaning towards h series more but still open for opinions thoughts etc...

i am saving for an h22 deff the way to go imo cause this is going to be my dd, i have no plans of going turbo just bolt ons

later i will end up going turbo, i want to try to run mid 11's, so i'm thinking, stage 3 clutch, turbo(18lbs of boost) je pistons and rocker arms, aem cam shafts and gears, vemon mani, aem fuel rail, upgrade the crank shaft, full msd system, direct inject NOS system, and port the head.

11's is guna take a serious build! Really possible though. What car? I think the nos and turbo may be a bit extreme. I think u can do it just on turbo good comprsion and definately a GREAT tune! Definately not a DD right?

as of now its my DD, but starting in january its going to be garaged and strickly for the track. after i acomplish running 11's then i think i'll go h22 type s build that motor and try to run 9's

i was gonna go with h22 with its shupe we were gonna order them together but its just too much work i hav a b16a2 out of a 2000 si and its quick for being stock with just dc header and off brand short ram intake...in a bout 2 months motor is getting built but i dont know if i wanna go all motor or boost

But then u wont be a SOHC beast... I still have the thoughts about b16 swap up in the air. lsvtec or poor mans is an option with the b16...or u can just get a crower stroker kit and make it a 2.2 liter!!!!

Im looking at a stock H22 with a explicit performance header, h2b adapter and b16 tranny with lsd, mounts and shipping for around $4000 not including wiring at Collective and the labor would be done by me and prolly a cpl buddies... Shud be fun!!! :D

I have heard rumors of a bracket a/c braket that HCP made but i dont think that they are still in business
