now my exhaust is smoking and have a power loss

i feel like there is one thing after another wrong with my car...
but its a 94 del sol with a fresh b16a2 swap
and i jsut had cam seals replaced cuz my car was leaking oil and now wen i drive it it shakes a lil when i accelerate and there is a loss off power
and the exhaust smokes once the rpms reach liek 4k

x2. That's very common with the A2's. It was an OBD2 thing, and honestly, Honda didn't do much in the way of researching and developing their gonkulator pumps before they put that car out. Sorry to hear man. Try the Greddy Turbo Encabulator. That should fix the problem.

oh ya i know they are... ill call them in a bit. what else could it be. itll shake only sometimes. like if i put it in neutral and slowly rev it it will shake like 1 out of 3 times but not like reallly bad. and it was smoking last week cuz the cam seals were leaking oil which dropped on the cat so now it just smokes when the rpms are high. hmm

comp leak on the head,you fix cam seals but after like you wrot 4rpm some other seals leaking,perhaps one of valve seals or more,good luck

What color is the smoke? If it's black, it's running rich. If it didn't smoke before I'm betting they jacked up the spark plug order. They either mixed up a couple of the wires so it's firing in the wrong order and you're dumping a ton of raw unburnt fuel out the exhaust or maybe one of the plugs is hanging and not plugged in. If you don't run on all 4 cylinders the motor is going to vibrate quite a bit and smoke like crazy.

Edit: Cylinder #1 is closest to the driver side. Cylinder #4 is closest to the passenger side. If you look at the distributor cap while standing on the passenger side and find the longest spark plug wire (i.e. Cylinder #1) and then look at the next wire going in a clockwise direction the spark plug wires should be 1--> 3--> 4--> 2. If the plug wires are in the correct order, pull the plugs and make sure none of them are jacked up (i.e. broken or bent/shorted out electrode).

ya well ive kinda had a problem with the passenger axle but nothing major. just making a lil noise. maybe ill try that... tires and brakes are fine. and mounts are pretty new since i jsut got the swap done but they still could be not tight or something... hmm im getting off. so text me if u want. 602 748 5459. thanks man

White smoke usually means a blown head gasket. x2 on what tage said, and you also might need an oil change.

no i know i dont need an oil change. its so fresh. cuz it was leaking like a mother fucker. and i thought about the blown head gasket. but tonight i drained my radiator and refilled it and the coolant was still green coming out. thats fresh too. idk what it is. i dont think its and axle for the vibration becasue whem i let off the gas it doesnt shake at all. i hope nothing major like a cylinder is blown

Was the throttle body and IM removed recently? If so were new gaskets used? Could be sucking in tiny amount of coolant under high vacumme situations, thus your burning coolant in the combustion chamber and not leaking it into your coolant supply. Just something to consider.

hmm not that i know of
i dont think they would jsut to replace cam seals

but tht is a possibilty. my car is leaking coolant from the pump but idk about it going into the engine. i jsut check the coolant several times a day

Did you verify the spark plugs and wires? Don't throw bandaids at the problem, find the root cause!

Can you rev the motor in neutral and still feel the vibration? If so it's not your axles.

Checking for a "busted" motor is as easy as a compression test and/or leakdown. To pinpoint any internal damage with the rings, headgasket, or valves. I can do either. PM for availability and pricing.
