this is on another site, pretty good info about modding k series injectors.
In short, all you have to do is cut the screens off of the tip of the injector. You carefully pry off the plastic nozzles, then grind off the screen. Takes about 5min per injector with a rotary tool.

The spray pattern becomes that of a pintle style injector. Not as good as OEM, but you're not going to suffer any huge side effects in fuel economy or idle quality. Supposedly the injectors flow test at about 500-520cc after the screens are cut off. If you do this, it's a good idea to have them flow tested so you can make sure they're still consistent within a desireable range.
I first heard of this from Joe @ Prototype racing, so props to him.
I've modded my OEM 270cc injectors. They've been in my car for about a year now with kpro set to 455cc. I just sent them to RC engineering to have them cleaned & flow tested so I can report on what the 270cc injectors mod to.

The size is 490cc with an "excellent" spray pattern when you mod the OEM 270cc injectors. The OEM 310cc injectors mod to 520cc but have a "good" spray pattern.
pretty good mod i found from those guys on ephatch.com there are very few people their that know whats good. ur suspose to try not to break the brown plastic end to reuse them but u dont have to reuse them at all. this is a good alternate to buy new injectors.
