Which combo will generate more power?

I am undecided, I've always wanted a B17A1. I recently sold my Integra with an internally stock o.b.d. 0 B16A. Now I am preparing to build an o.b.d. 1 Integra.

I am thinking about buying a B17A1 shortblock and a 37820-P61-A00 E.C.M. and installing a stock 2001 B18C5 head onto the shortblock.

I am thinking about buying a o.b.d. 1 J.D.M. B16A shortblock and PR3 E.C.M. and
installing a stock 2001 B18C5 head onto the shortblock.

I want to know is there also a better o.b.d. 1 E.C.M. to use with the combos I have in mind?

I have no desire to use any parts that are not O.E.M.
I have no desire to use a B18C shortblock and my mind isn't going to change. Keep that in mind guys.

Sounds like your wasting a bunch of time...............putting this head on that block and this block with this head....and not wanting to spend the money to make it run right? so typical AZHT kids not knowing shit about making motors run right.....

You said your not going to waste money on computer socketing, then why the hell are you going to waste money on a TypeR head????? drop in a B16, run it with a P30 or P28 and call it done.......
The only reseason we suggest aftermartet socketing is because we know they work......its not a big deal to use them...

I don't understand why you are asking this question. You have a choice, to run it reliable with an actual tuned program, or to run not reliable with a "guess."

Like Mr. Burner says, get a b16 or b18C ecu.

The main problem with the B17 is its really low compression but its got more displacement than a B16. You could use some P30 pistons and stay oem.

why would any person in there right mind waste soo much time trying to source a b17 and than spend all that cash for a type R head. and than not want output. why not roll a D.

I have already sourced a B17A1 short block.

Second I would be modding the engine more over time, that's why I am going to use a B18C5 cylinder head. I am considering changing the pistons, in the future, to j.d.m. Integra Type R.

For now I want to know which E.C.M. will run my combination the most efficiently.

I don't want a B18C, because I plan on revving to 10,000 rpm eventually.

Sure, just stating facts. You do realise that itr pistons offer less compression then the factory b16 pistons you want to replace.
