check engine light.....

so ya my check engine light is coming on and its weird when it comes on. it doesn't seem like its running any differently when it does come on.....it comes on sometimes when i start the car up but if i turn my car off it doesn't come back on or when i'm driving for like 10 minutes it will come on. it flashes sometimes too but don't know if that means anything. i know its kinda hard going off the info i said but if some of you guess have some guesses that would appriciated. some guys have said it could be my O2 sensor or my mass air flow sensor but i'm not sure.

main relay wont cause a check engine light to come on.........you can still jump the 2pin conector and the code will flash....the reason its not staying on constantly is cause its a "soft" code....but being obd2, it should be stored.....

if it's a 00 Si u can just go to Checker/Autozone and get them to scan it with the OBD2 scanner. Then when you find out what code it is, look on H-T for the ECU codes. In fact, here you go http://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=466877

My 98 use to do the same thing. Well my cel actually stayed on. The hiflow cat was setting it off. I forget what code it was. i did the spark plug non fouler trick...has not gone off since and this was prolly in january that I did it. gl
