If i change the ECU on my 98 DX to maybe an EX ECU or an SI ECU, will i see any change in power?:but:

you will see a power loss. because the ecu wants to see vtec, if you dont have it, dont change it....

SI= b series vtec, all motors have different needs as fair as timing and afr's. Give it what it needs/wants which is what honda programmed the stocker for.

it may change the rev a little but your still going to have a check engine light on. plus I wouldnt be revin a d series motor past what the factory sets it at unless you have some serious motor work done...

Motor swap it to a b16 or ls then you can change the ecu. otherwise just drive it.

no need to switch ecus. unless u go obd1 and want to tune it.

unless he was refering to the 99-00 si than
eg si equals sohc an since he has a sohc i figure he was refering to the eg an if he was refering to eg si than just so you know your gonna need a jumper harness
