if i put a type s head on a tsx short block and the type s tranny...

What will the compression ratio be
what will my max rpms be
whats the difference in bore on both engines

compression ratio wont be much different than a stock tsx motor which is 10.5:1 but it is impossible to know the exact ratio with a type s head with out some specific tools to test it.

max rpm has nothing to do with the head, but the bottom end of a 2.4 motor is only good for between 7500-7900 rpm

bore on a type s is 86mm and bore on a tsx is 87mm

lol he had this swap himself except fully biult bottom to top by ips, R tranny, kpro, and ITB's. in a EK!

i think he will agree with this swap as do i.

altough the K24a2 is already very simular to to A2. except that the head ports are more like the 06+ Si (Z3). much better! i wouldnt recomend the head swap. get some IPS k2 cams, some sort of uprated valve springs, and kpro... youll see 230. keep the stock head

i want to use the brian crower stroker kit will put the displacement almost to 2.6 but i figured if i already had the the type s head in the car already a short block would be cheaper but im gonna pull an engine at a junk yard so its all good

Do it. I love mine. The added torque is heaven and theres no better way to get as much any other way.

one more thing do you recomend this swap

At the very least ARP rod bolts for the connecting rods. The OEM units may stretch over time if you keep the revs up. Also my kit below.;)
