what header is everyone running?? Im looking at getting a RMF or SMS but seeing if any of you guys are using them.

I had a SMSP Header, sold it, never used it either unfortunately.. :(

SMSP, RMF, HyTech are all great high-end Headers if that's what you're looking for. They're the best you're going to get.

I waited 4 full months for my SMSP?
Ordered beginning of August and it was shipped out the end of November.

You're going to wait, so plan for it.

hytech isnt street legal though right? I called RMF they said they can fabricate4 me one cuz they stopped production but it wil cost more money. Aorund 1100 to 1200. Does any one know the price before they stopped making them??

900-1000. I went a little over a week ago and they said that Randy wont make the header anymore. if you gonna pay 1200, you might as well go with Hytech. I dont think the RMF header is street legal either.

My car isn't street legal, but I dont have to worry bout that cuz I dont have to go through emissions. My little secret...

You are going to wait for any high end header.
Randy has mover to Cali, had some health issues, and probably wont be doing any more fab.

I have had some personal battles online with Dave SMSP, BUT I would still recomend his products as a very well made, thought out and quality piece. I have had no expierence with John HyTech. But the work that I have seen is High Quality as well.

You will always battle about whos makes more power or whos looks better, but in the end all of those named above make quality products.

As far as street legal? Most 'custom' headers will not be street legal.

^^Yep, if it's custom, it's made for off-road use. I'd think it's kinda hard to make every custom header street legal..

You can try to find a used SMSP/RMF/HyTech and get it for a few hundred cheaper.. If you don't want to wait that is..

i call power house the other day and they sayed since they said it is going to be a custim header now because they stopped making them for right now it is going to cost more but going to be exactly the same header.

RMF header has always been a custom header... I went down there and the bastards told me that they weren't in production anymore. The guy was kindof a dick about it too. He said it as if i were trying to pull a fast one on him.

they said they are not in production any more due to them now concentrating on turbo kits. They said they can fabricate one for me but will cost a lil more since they dont produce them at the moment.

The thing is... There is no "they" or "them" that makes a "RMF Header." Only Randy makes a "RMF Header;" as far as I know at least..

I'm pretty sure Dave is the only one that makes the SMSP Headers...

that's why I've been asking him for more details but all he keeps saying is they are gonna make it. If Randy doesn't make it... Its not an RMF header.

if the header has a RMF plate on it, then it's real. Import power house (we) could still get RMF headers, it's just real hard and a long wait but we could get them. Most people cant even get a hold of Randy, but we could.

Thats cool I guess. Well I went in there a few weeks ago and you guys gave me a flat out no. So i said fuck it and i went with Hytech.

Dude, go on Honda-tech and look at all the bad rep RMF has. You'd be a fool to give him any of your money.

im leaning towards getting that header over the hytech. I might even go with the SMSP.
