okay, i'm a girl and i'm young and know nothing, so don't make fun of me =) ahah

i got an 04 ep like 2 weeks ago or so, and i have no idea what to do about the paint. it's the black with faint blue glitter in the sun. but anyways, it's like scratched everywhere.. not bad but like i clean it and it still looks dirty, because of the minor scratches.. am i cleaning it wrong? what should i use to wash it maybe? i don't think it would need a new paint job, but i could be wrong.

Probably has swirl marks from previous owner not knowing what to dry it with

I use the microfiber towels. They are really soft. You can find them at like autozone in a pack of 3. Take pics of the paint and post it on here!

probably need to cut and buff the car. that usually reduces the "scratchy" look.

i'll try and get one, if i can't i'll do it tomorrow in the sun where it's more visible

That way we might be able to see if it'll come out easily from the pics, you know?

im sure the scratches are from previous owners taking it through those pay car washes

if it is, worst case scenario i'd have to get a new paint job ?

a good wax job could work too.

worst case i think if u get your clear coat sanded down a bit.. and get it Re-cleared.

but u only do that with like.. minor oxidation.

a good wash/ wax should be fine

i used meguires tech wax

You dont need a new paint job unless it has REALLY BAD scratches!

looks like the previous owner did a horrible job of detailing it. well u might want to take it to a detailer so they could buff the swirl marks out. or try waxing the car and use swirl remover on it.

try Meguires scratch x first on a small area. they look pretty bad but cameras have the ability to show things funny. i had a small spot that look like that i used scratch x and it was 100 percent better
