Covered 84 miles in 34 Minutes

Last night I covered the above 84 mile stretch of road between Alamogordo and El Paso in about 34 minutes. It was done at about midnight, I cut my lights off, taped up the daylight runners/rear reflectors and completed the trip using night vision goggles. I had to cover the speedo with paper because it caused really bad glare in the viewer. There is no limiter with the Hondata Reflash!

My Radar Detector lit up with Ka Band 3 times. Although I never actually saw any police lights. Please spare Me the flames, I know it was dangerous.. I only passed 4-5 cars on the road. I can only imagine what they were thinking as all they would have seen was nothing and heard a really loud K20! LOL:vtec:

average speed was 148 mph according to the math, It was somewhere between 6500-7500RPM the whole way I think, I did not use a stopwatch so 34 minutes is my best estimate using the clock on my Radio. THe car used almost 3/4 tank of gas! I did not pay much attention to anything other than the road because at those speeds a small error can be disaster.

AN PVS-7, I am currently clearing My unit so I had to turn them in to the Arms room, however they look just like this.

There is no depth perception so you have to drive scanning left to right up and down in a zig zag pattern. You can get pretty nautious with these on but I got over that driving thousands of miles in Iraq with them on.

Honda Challenge race cars will sometimes do 2-3 seasons of RACING, on a bone stock motor, that's roughtly 15-25 RACES, before they need a mild rebuild, and it's not maintaining the speed that's hard, it's getting UP to speed that causes a lot of wear. Also, the new Si has 6 gears, not 5, sure everyone has probably HIT 130-140 in their swapped civic or integra, but that speed in 5th gear, especially with the short geared b-series transmission will almost put you to redline in 5th, so add another gear and this story is 100% plausable.

any oncoming light would leave you completely blinded with nvs on, street lights would do the same. with having your lights taped up theres no way your eyes would adjust fast enough to get you out of trouble if you had to take of the monocular.

Last night I covered the above 84 mile stretch of road between Alamogordo and El Paso in about 34 minutes. It was done at about midnight, I cut my lights off, taped up the daylight runners/rear reflectors and completed the trip using night vision goggles. I had to cover the speedo with paper because it caused really bad glare in the viewer. There is no limiter with the Hondata Reflash!

My Radar Detector lit up with Ka Band 3 times. Although I never actually saw any police lights. Please spare Me the flames, I know it was dangerous.. I only passed 4-5 cars on the road. I can only imagine what they were thinking as all they would have seen was nothing and heard a really loud K20! LOL:vtec:

average speed was 148 mph according to the math, It was somewhere between 6500-7500RPM the whole way I think, I did not use a stopwatch so 34 minutes is my best estimate using the clock on my Radio. THe car used almost 3/4 tank of gas! I did not pay much attention to anything other than the road because at those speeds a small error can be disaster.

Im sure a cop would have thought his radar was malfunctioning had He seen those speeds pop up.. There was no moon and The car was in stealth mode.

I spent lots of time with Marines on my ship and I know first hand how truely stupid they are. I just pray half of them do not breed or this country truely is doomed. The Marines like any other branch do have some very smart individuals, I am just saying the grunts/infranty need diagrams to get dressed in the mornings.
