exhaust help me out.

aight since my exhaust tip fell off Somewhere in Phx over the weekend, i have to take a step back then forward. so now i have to make a decsion on a new exhaust. DC cuz thats what i gottz now minus a tip.

so here are the options that i have narrowed it down too.

keep in mind i like my exhaust quite, and deep sounding. thats what has brought this choices to my attention. help me out.

The EVO2 was incredibly deep on a del Sol with a d-series. Got somewhat loud at higher RPMs though.

i dont mind it being loud up top. i just want to be able to drive on the highway and be able to talk to my pass. i heard the evo2 on a sti over the weekend and it was tight. i liked the sound alot.

yeah, it will be a deep sound down low, might still be a bit loud with your motor setup. Never heard it on a setup like yours, just on that d-series =/

his sounds sick! as for your options:

top fuel: not many people have this, so not much is said about them. i would get it but you know how i am. if nobody has rocked it then i want to lol

tanabe: sounds good, looks good but imo i dont like tanabe products.

greddy: deep and will get droney

invidia: this is a loud exhaust. you will not like this one


i would seriously suggest apexi world sport 2 or the hks. i know you think the hks is loud but i would not try and fuck you over with exhaust. it sounds great!! it has a nice throaty sound up top and is quiet down at low rpm. world sport 2 sounds stock quiet. the hks really isnt even as loud as your dc was. seriously!

i hate hks. so they are out of the question. thew invidia has a silencer. but it probly sux. i have a feeling the top fuel is loud

if you can find it, try greddys ti-c exhaust. otherwise go with the top fuel.

avoid the tanabe. only reason being is the resonator they have, its the scale type ones, not smooth straight through, another option would be just get a custom axleback made with whatever muffler you want. if you are used to dc dont get any canon-shaped mufflers, get the oval types. hope thaT helped.

Get the sp2 by greddy. It's quite but is straight through. I loved it on my ep. You could really hear the engine open up.

i had this on my civic and loved it. it only got loud when i smashed on it and it still had a deep tone. i had a greddy sp before and it fell apart on me cause of it's cheap construction. i got a hole in my resonator cuz it kept bottoming out since it was so big. also, the welds of the pipe in the muffler came loose and all the packing blew out, leaving the pipe rolling around in there. sounded like a cowbell & a fart can.

....the tanabe smh is constructed alot stronger and it sounds real good.

whats wrong with the hks? i had it on my dc5 and loved it not loud until ya hit it.

I have only been able to listen to the invidia on an STI and that was where I was going to put my money where my mouth was until I sold my subie. The turbo may have been a huge factor in why this system sounded so great from light to hard driving though. The fit and finish is second to none.
