how long should i wait between coats to primer
and how long between paint coats

primer will dry before u ever get the car painted primer...do a good coat of it.then make sure everything is smooth it willshow if its not...depending on wha kind of paint u have some will dry faster then others have to paint fast or it will peel.

paint coats will depend on temperature.. but usually about 45 mins to 2 hours. wait till paint is tacky to respray another coat

look on the paint cans label, it will give you a flash time between coats. this is the minimum time you need to wait to allow the solvent in the paint to flash off before you coat it another time.

it depends on tempature and the type of thinner used with the paint. waiting till paint is tacky? how the hell do you know its tacky without touching it? i think im gonna skip putting finger prints in my paint.

typically its 15 minutes ish. the pot life of your paint probably isnt even 2 hours.
