I'm not worried about emmisions here, you don't have to smog in my town. haha.. Anyway, would I benifit from gutting the cat? Or what about just deleting the resenator? I've heard it pretty restrictive. Bottom line here is, I want to free up my exhaust system, don't have alot of cash and don't want it too loud. I've heard the stock type s muffler flows well, so I was just thinking of clearing the path before the muffler. Any recommendations?:bananaman:

just get a testpipe, and then upgrade the midpipe

Get and aftermarket exhaust. 70mm piping and a race header. RH eliminates the cat.

Gutting your cat is cheap and janky... borderline rice

Upgrade the midpip? How? Eliminate the resenator or what? Sorry, I'm new to the dc5

just get a full exhaust it will bolt right up usually 3 piece cat back. get some headers and your all good. mine goes headers test pipe mid pipe with resinator( got a custom pipe with stock cat that bolts up here because i do have emissions) then back pipe with my tip on it

I'm sure that would be much too loud for my likeing. Does a race header improve that much better than a reg header?

you can get a t1r midpipe or full exhaust. then get a test pipe. they make an rsr exmag and world sport2

yes a full length header is a much better product then a shorty header. you willl hardly see any gains with a shorty header. get a full length header for sure. or atleast a testpipe if you dont have the money for a header yet

i wouldn't gut the cat, but if you really want to...
grab something long and just poke it in there until you break up all the material, then dump it in a plastic bag then tie it up and throw it away. it'll take you awhile those bricks are manly. oh and try not to breath in all the dust

get a toda race header or hytech expensive but best power adders plus if you do gut your cat its pretty expensive to replace if you do ever need to do emissions. as for exhaust i love my apexi gt spec.

Dude, don't gut it. If anything remove it and sell it. You could get some good money for a cat in good condition.

comptech race headers are nice too but the 1st gen really is hard to get ahold of. the welds and design of the 4-1 header are amazing!

i thought finding the adaptor was more of a bitch then finding the header

i would just get someone to make it. all you need is flanges and like 3-4in of piping. the header is also pretty damn hard to find tho.
