Built hatch race car safety Questions

I am currently fully building a ls/vtec that is going into my hatch. What exactly am I going to need so it can be allowed to run a 10 second quarter mile (not sure that it will be ble to)
but I just need some advice from people who have built fast cars.

So far from what I gathered for sure I need a fire-suit/ helmet/ hans device
- approved roll cage

what i'm not exactly sure about is -
-battery mounted in rear of car?
-fuel cell?

Any advice would be great!
