Boost is hella fun, but hard to be reliable in a Honda, in most cases (cause people don't get tuned, or beat the shit out of 'em)..

all motor last longer but turbo is so simple dump all your money in to a motor run 12's take a stock ls run it on 10 pounds tuned with a safc be just as fast. i think turbo is the shit now and it will last long if you do it right dont be dumb and run too many pounds get you block built and tune it. will be just fine my friends stock ls tuned with his vafc always runs fine boosted at 8 pounds. turn it down when your driving

It's a ITR with crazy compression, would be waste to boost that. All motor man that's what that motor was intended for, if you want boost get a GSR!

of course when i get the turbo kit im going to get it installed right and tuned and im only going to run 7 pounds.. plus i odont get on it all the time so i think im leaning towards boost and if worst comes to worst ill take it off and build all motor or something

Done a few boosted cars with stock itr motors, very responsive and fun to drive.

everyone always says reliability is an issue with turbos. I just dont see why. Do it once, do it right.

x2 and so what if its an itr you can get low compression pistons for it rods and new ceramic rings dont even really have to sleeve it get a block guard and it should hold somwhere around 18 or more pounds im pretty sure. stock internals are supposed to hold 14 lbs get a single layer metal heag gassket make sure block and head are flat arp studs boost it at 8 lbs all day it will hold.

Boost if on 7 tuned, 10 at the most with a thick head gasket, but don't lower the compression, it's a waste of the itr motor, you paid for the high compression over the gsr and now you are lowering it basically throwing money away you know?!?!

If you have the money, those ITR's sure are nice with an ITB setup. Then again, I can't resist the sound of a BOV.

I'd boost it, very conservatively. And when you get it tuned, don't let Jose around the corner do it with his homeboys laptop.

Take it to a pro, and a dyno. Joe @ Locash is where I'll be getting my car tuned when it's time.
