the car is actually a retired police car.. but the driver is a true cop.. this is one of his projects to keep kids from street racing..

It would be cool to have a track day where the best drivers get cop cars and joe blow runs a tricked out street car. Im sure with the right driver, those impalas move pretty quick

that cop car still has working lights and everything.. the driver is a phoenix police officer who uses the car to promote legal types of racing.. he does auto-x, drag, and road race events and he is a great guy..

They do. Or at least they did. At Firebird once a month for Friday night drags they would have shoot outs between the cops and racers. It was called "Beat the Heat." It was pretty rad actually. And there are a few cops who have some GNARLY cars. I remember one of them brought his street driven '66 Chevelle 396 and knocked off consistent 10.8's on drag radials!

Out braking that beast should be easy. However, you'd never catch me trying to sneak on the outside of it. That sure would be a lot of mass once it let go.
