I need a battery for some events coming up this weekend, mine is on its way out.....fast.
I ordered one yesterday morning but it won't be in until next week. Based on how hard it was to get the car started last night, I highly doubt that its going to make it through both Saturday and Sunday.

Anyone in the EV (or even Phoenix) want to lend me their Civic/Integra battery for the weekend? I would pick up from you on Friday and return to you no later than Monday night.

Thanks AZHT track whores. :you rock:

Dan you also had trouble starting your car for a while there, and normally the DA battery is massive...good call though on the lawn mower battery.

Gabe, what event is this weekend?

+1 for the lawn mower battery. Just make sure you get the one with does like 300CCA. One time I got one that was 200CCA because it "felt" a couple pounds lighter in my arms and it wouldn't start the car well at all.

FYI - there's a battery store local (close to me at least) on 67Ave & Bell that sells Odyssey batterys. I think I got mine for about $100 after tax and they usually have them in-stock and on the shelf.

My next battery is going to be one of those ultra light $300 batteries though. I think it's around 3-4 lbs and has been tested on several cars and it starts them no problem...

The 300cca battery they had was $40 + $5 core charge + tax. Ended up being about $50, but the warranty is only for a year and it weighs 18lbs. =/

They also had a 200 cca battery for $30 + $5 and tax and that one felt a bit lighter (maybe 3-4 lbs). But I'm skeptical if that will start the car reliably (and it sounds like Tage is in agreement with that)

The one I want is 360cca, $62, no warranty and weighs 12 lbs.

I'm thinking that I'll sacrifice the 6 lbs for the convenience of having the CSK one year warranty. Thanks Dan-o, you the man. :clapper:

Yup, the PC680. I have it. It's not that big or heavy and has 680CCA for the first 5 seconds of cranking.

i stand behind that too.. i had one with like 220cca and it would turn on my integra hard... and would go out after couple days (my wiring might have had something to do with that tho)
