Trunk will not close! Help!

So after I wash my car I pop open the trunk and the leave the trunk release handle up, after im done I go back to push down the handle to the normal position so the trunk will close but it dosen't the cable broke. Now i can't close my trunk. What can i do!? :(

I have been through this EXACT incident. Well kinda... my cable that controlled the gas door broke coming home from Vegas. Either way, you should be able to move the cable on the latch. Hell I'd give you the extra one I had but I gave it to Anthony for his ES1 already. The cable itself is about 26 from Honda, but it's a bitch to replace. I did mine about a month ago.


Just go buy an accord latch and make it a power trunk... or order the cable. Either way, you should be able to make it close by messing with the latch.

Yeah i went to get a new cable from the dealer. I already replaced it, it wasen't fun. Few cuts here and there.

Funny thing, mine was under an assload of dynamat and my buddy Wado-Potato goes "you should have just cut it and left in in there". DOH!

Yeah, i don't have anything in my trunk. I wanted to get the latch from the accord but i don't know how to wire it.
