Well...it was dry (at times)....and it was empty (at times).

The track was packed during the dry sessions. The track was empty as it started to rain.

Do not, I repeat... DO NOT try to be a hero in the oval... Don't listen to others (and me) about how fast we take it. Take the oval at the speeds that match YOUR comfort level. The speed will come over time and your car control skills will increase at about the same rate.

Tage....totally man... i have to work up my speed but in no way was i saying that i was gonna try flat out like you take it. I just want to gain 5 mph in the oval to have a faster exit speed. I seem to get my line confused up with where i am at in the oval... it all looks the same white knuckled into turn 3 and halfway through it until you see the white dotted stripe.
I totally want to take this in BABY STEPS and make sure that i am taking the correct line to keep the car balanced through the oval. Gabe did a good job with me last event but next time i want to see if someone will help tell me exactly when to floor it coming out of turn 4 and if the car will hold the speed about 5 mph faster than i was going..... anyone...anyone??

Rather than treating the throttle as an on/off switch, practice "rolling" on the throttle (vs. "when to floor it"). Get familiar with the landmarks in the oval (patchs on the tarmac or lines on the inside are good markers) and practicing rolling on earlier and earlier as you feel comfortable.

A driver/instructor riding shotgun can tell you if the car can go faster...but its hard for us to tell if you feel comfortable adding more speed, and more importantly, how you will react if you end up outside your comfort zone.

exactly what i was looking for. Gabe you did an excellent job of helping me from turn 3-5 and i felt confident with you in the passenger seat and giving a positive thumbs up about keeping the "hammer down" through that section. I gained a lot of time and the car felt tons better my last run after having you with me. Thanks a lot for the help you gave. I am always looking for this type of help and it is great to have a great group of guys in the paddock that are so eager and willing to help. This is a great activity and the people are absolutely the best!!!

ran a 1:12.7 during Time attack....... not bad considering I broke a cv in the first session. I had just enough time to pick a new one up from BAP on 27th / Camelback and put it in.
