i'd personally go with any 1.8L block vs the b16. No reason to overspin if you dont have to :)

correct me if im wrong but i think ls bottom end is stronger
Negative. LS has a longer stroke, which makes for more torque, but it's not girdled across the mains like a GSR/Type R are.

This is a debate on LS vs b16. Lets not bring the GSR/Type R into this equation as thast just a no brainer :blunt:
I'd rather do ls because of torque and incase something goes bad on the motor, they are a dime a dozen. Honda Tech has a huge thread dedicated to ls turbo just browse through there and look at the numbers and setups.

LS all the way! i would suggest installing ARP rod bolts and head studs.
