View Full Version : what ecu should i use p28 or p72 ? help!!!

i have a p28 and i want to know if it will work with a gsr(will it control the secondary butterflys) or should i use a p72...im confused HELP!!!!

P72 is for the GSR motor. P28 will not engage secondary butterflies. Done close thread. :lock:

I know this is going to sound rigged, but if for some reason he can't get a P72 right now can't he just pull the vaccum line (plug and clamp it) off the butterflies and still run the p28? It will just leave the butterflies open at all rpms. You may notice a small decrease in low end trq but he can always roll the car that way until he can get a p72, then put the vaccum back on the butterflies and have it be functional again.

and i may be wrong about this so DO NOT quote me. But if he is using a SOHC engine harness he'll have to wire in the butterflies seperatley once he gets a P72correct? I might be off on that so please don't quote me.
