with those of you who have done one, had one done, or see one be done, wut do these conversions get you into? what all is done in these conversions? whats the labor for these usually? this isnt another civic or integra rhd conversion. more like a cd5.

It's a LOT of work unless you just don't give a fuck about how clean it turns out. Even then it's still a grip of work. I would def try to stay away from it, rhd is overrated anyways.

by the time you pay for the front clip and pay to get it put on u can just pay to have one imported for about the same price. R-toys had an RHD eg si hatch for 9999.00 the other day.

ummm i think you need to redo your math a little. ok lets do this:

95 civic SI $3000
front clip: $450
install price around $2500

total: approx $6000

out of curiousity, was the one on R Toys registered in the US? if not than thats gonna be another 3k-6k depending.

show me where you can get a front clip for 450 please. and install 2500!!!!! please i know shops that wouldnt touch it for less then 5000, thats a lot of work dood. and in your math did you figure removal and re-installation of motor and paint.2500, pfft, you show me a shop that'll do it for that cheap and i'll show you a bull shitter and remember you get what you pay for.

for an EK?

Tweeder

for an EK?

no, EKs are 800. but you brought up a eg si as the subject, and EG clips are 350 from hmotorsonline. the reason i say 2500 for the work was because that figure was brought up earlier in this thread. BTW i've take to several shops and they were quoting me around 2k to 3.5k to do the conversion, that includes removal and 2 stage (primer and base) paint.

im not trying to argue with you, i was just making a point that it is easier and cheaper to do a conversion than buy a real one. and i garentee you that i have waaaaayyyyyy more knowlegde of this subject than you... no offence. please dont think im trying to pick a fight or calling you ignorent, just getting some info out there

me and my brother did a s13 rhd and sylvia front end... alotttt of work a big headache, took weeks when we needed parts, the wiring (power windows, locks, cluster) was a pain too... so wasi it worth it??? hell yesss theres not a gas station or stop light i pull up to and get price less looks. aside from rhd it wuda jus been another s13 with a sr20 in it, now it clones a sylvia that is tuff to import and even more tuff to pay for... (if i could afford a real one i wud, but till that day comes i got the next best thing)

Im starting on a RHD DC project next weekend, just to have something to work on this winter in my heated garage. Despite the fact that everyone says its super hard work and not really worth it. It will be just to cruise around in and travel with, so the cheapest little reliable Honda engine I can find from a junkyard will be going into it.

I got to drive around a RHD DC in Des Moines this spring, and it was fun, and like the guy above me - when people look over at you and see you are on the opposite side of your car, its priceless.
