Looking to a solution for a problem since after 54838834 i got a reply to get my sides painted. I now run into the issue

http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f336/dj_cronic_metal/problems.jpg

as you can see in the picture here there are some clips that are supposed to mount to the side of the car. These were missing when I picked up the sides. Well I have checked everywhere and short of buying another set. I can't get these anywhere. Heres my question anybody have an idea where I might be able to pickup something like this that would work in it's place. Do other side skirts have these clips? Any help would be appreciated. I would rather do the job right than jerry rig it.

yes it is. Aero skirts for 01-05 models, also I stated I can't get these anywhere as in i've tried 6 dealerships in the us and I can't just order this without ordering an entire new set.

please do if you can honest to god it's been the biggest pain in the ass finding these and without a fair amount of junkyards that I am familiar with and the fact that most civic's dont' have these on them doesn't help.

I asked him, he got the last set of used ones. He is going to post a picture of them. Just incase you want to fabricate your own.

so wait he has them like for sale or he just is going to post a pic so I can see what I may be able to fab my own out of? I'd perfer to buy them rather than fab my own.

I know you would rather buy them, but i asked if he could get anymore and he got the last used set. All the other ones come with the kits. He is going to post a pic of it for people who want to fab their own since no site sells just the hardware anymore.

yes I do have the outer clips that hold to the pinch weld or whatever mentioned on the 7thgen forums.

then what hardware do you need?

Rufus

You need two pieces

1. A bracket that bolts to the bottom of the sideskirt and has an arm extending out and uses a screw to fasten itself to a small rail along the underside of the car.

2. That "clip" is really just a piece of metal in a u shape with double sided sticky tape on the back.

rufus these were yours :d They already have 1. I just need the u shaped clips with double sided that the sides fit into.

You could make these pieces easily. Get a sheet of metal, have someone bend it at a sharp angle and put sticky tape on the back.

Want me to make you cry when I tell you what I paid for those? lol

sure what like 50 bucks? Really their not that bad. Rufus do you know anybody who does metal fab?

Rufus

I paid $60 for those sideskirts AND the rear lip on my car. Craigslist f00

You don't need to fab something. Go to home depot, buy a strip of metal and put it in a vice. Be resourceful SON!
