Thats a good DIY. Another way is to clean the taillights really good, grab some "Testors" window tint from a local hobby shop. Spray coats and wait till dry in between until you find the right shade. Then clear to protect from sun(your own preference). This is good because, if you dont like it after awhile or you get pulled over, then it comes right off and back to norm.
