all you need is k-pro and the motor.. you should also look into getting a new clutch and some motor mounts.

the tsx k24a2 head flows very well as is, there's really no point in an type-s head.

agreed, the bore from the a2 head to the k24 block is only a mm. i think the k24 is a 87mm and the a2 head is an 86mm bore.

but i would just leave the k24 alone and do internals instead of swapping heads.

but you should just get a k20a from 05. I did that swap into my 02 ep and it was the best thing i spent my money on, if you have money to do it that is lol

What about the k24 out of the element? Anyone know what I will need for this swap? Will the a3 ecu and tranny work w/this swap? or do I have to chip my key?

this thread makes me laugh.

here are a few answers to your questions:

a k24a2 can run off of either a k-pro installed ecu or a k24a2 ecu i believe. the tsx trannies will not work on the ep chassis from what i have been told.

if you want to do a block swap from an element/crv then you can use your stock ecu but it will run like total shit.

basically, do it right and get a k-pro installed ecu, swap what you want and then tune the bitch. i would personally go with a k20a2 head and k24a1 block. stay away from the accord k24a4 i believe if you are looking to use an a2 head. the pistons will hit the valves and then you r pretty fucked.

i think most of what i said was true. not 100% sure bc its been awhile since i have done my research but this is what i remember. justinD and mike on here know what they are doing. any other info can be found on the internet or k20a.org has some pretty good info

First of all, what are your power expectations?? If you're looking at 200whp then you won't have to upgrade axles, mounts, or even clutch. But if you plan on boosting then I suggest you go with the k24a2. My brother made 408whp and 330lbs torque on 14 psi and pump gas. That is the norm for the stock k24a2. You can't rev as high as the k20's but who cares, the torque is worth it. BUT, if you go this route be prepared to upgrade the axles, mounts, clutch, cooling, and fuel systems. Whatever you decide......K-pro of your stock ecu is a must.

K24A2 with cams, intake, exhuast, and a tune will get you around 250 hp. You may or may not want to do a 6 speed trans depending on what you are going to use this for.

You are correct. The best bang for the buck is a k24a1(crv) block w/ a type S head. If you spend time looking for the parts you will run across some good deals. I ran this set-up for a while and loved it. JustinD is selling a head if you go this route http://www.arizonarsx.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7012

First decide on what your final goal is. If your going to build the block go w/ the k24a4 because its cheapest.

K-pro is a must.

A k24a2 will be the eassiest to swap in(less hassel) and less labor.

No idea who to go to. Hit Jun up(Ikon) he might do it for you.

I had an EP with a k24a1. I dont think anyone mentioned it yet but you will need the UPPER PASS SIDE MOTOR MOUNT FROM A CRV. Unless of course you want your motor to not sit straight in the bay...
