any one have any idea how to remove the power steering on a 06 type s??? is it even possible?? if so how hard is it??

power steering on a fwd car is over rated

you will probably want to plug those lines and make sure they have fluid in them so it lubercates it still :)

on a real note though, aren't the 06's drive by wire? I thought the steering was all electronic.

only the ep3 had electronic steering. I've heard of people swaping the ep3 electronic rack into dc5's but i don't think it's worth it for the money. I know there is a company that sells a p/s delete kit, but i don't remember who.

This thread is so old. I will just put it to rest, no you should not remove your p/s, and no you can not remove your compressor, it has a single belt that drives everything. If you remove the belt you will have a car that does not run, any other k series set up is custom for race application, for daily driving don't wast your time....
