im building a twin turbo set up, does any one know if i need to split the oil line before the turbos or just run threw one and dump it into the next?

Mr.Burner
04-14-2008, 12:20 AM
LOL pretty self explanatory
split the lines.

going to have to agree with kyle, but if you can pull off method 2 be sure to take some pics and let us know the results stat

and dear lord i hope that this
"[building a 700+ hp b20/b16]"
doesnt involve this

If it is on a honda, for gods sake make them a forward feeding setup (sequential)

Links are way dead chris :( Good record though

thats funny

04-14-2008, 12:09 PM
its just silly IMO, a Single turbo on our hondas will typically outperform by leaps and bounds... a honda simply doesn't put out enough exhaust gas to utilize two turbos at the same time... sequentially... possibly although i've never seen that done...

40psi_
04-14-2008, 01:32 PM
yes there going to be sequential. and to answer taggart yes its going on the b20/b16... after i get that running right, that motor has a set of toda 305 killa cams in it...

i have been told by a friend whos shop is in jersey, i can feed threw if i use an oil pump. thats how he did his twin turbo h22.

04-14-2008, 01:34 PM
and "mugenwhore" im interested in seeing this awd your building my friend has a 99 4dr with a crv drive in it. it was a fun build

taggart_lumpy
04-14-2008, 02:31 PM

04-14-2008, 02:33 PM
i just cant justify no matter how smartly you go about this more than mid 300hp will come out of this setup before you reach your limits

Mr.Burner
04-14-2008, 02:44 PM
LOL nice drawing lumpy

04-14-2008, 02:46 PM
looks like a giant waste of time to me, 2 small pocket turbos, or 1 big turbo, what sounds smarter for a 4cyl?

Mr.Burner
04-14-2008, 02:47 PM
lol another guy trying it

http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s121/Josh299/S3010250.jpg

LOL and if your going to do it that way. you need to run cyl #1 and #4 together then #2 and #3 together...

well i was going to run 2 evo 9 turbos... i have them sitting at my house... and if you ever saw my crx it had a gt42r and i was going to get a 45r before i wrecked it...

40psi_
04-14-2008, 06:19 PM
and it would and has worked there was a guy in 04 running two sti turbos. at 15 psi and made 550... and running 1 and 4 then 2 and 3 is what to do...

40psi_
04-14-2008, 06:20 PM

any proof that you had a crx on 40psi? i wanna see this thing...and why a twin turbo set up? POS imo

*inFamous*
04-14-2008, 09:55 PM
its just the sheer amount of gas needed to spool two turbos.. like i said before it can be done but efficiency usually goes out the window unless you can provide a constant flow of exhaust gas without interuption (such as a rotary).

Eh more power to ya i guess :)

The only way to make this work is to put a Motec System Exaust http://i252.photobucket.com/albums/hh32/BoostN_DA/paul.jpg :thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

I agree with Ravi, your just wasting your time, if it was a v6 maybe a twin turbo setup, but a 4 cyl. not really the best of ideas. I can appreciate your creativity to do somthing different, but when it all comes down to it function and stability is really what matters, I don't think you will get either of that with a 4 cyl. twin turbo setup. GOOD LUCK anyways..

04-15-2008, 08:10 AM

when i lived in cali i was building a hot rod drag car and i had the car street licenced till the tags ran out... i was going to go to a 45r cause i didnt like my turbo to spool ever even at 9000rpm... jk... it was the worst idea i ever had...

and old news yes it was like almost 3 years ago... then i got out of the scene and am getting back into hondas... ive been into every thing else...

the twin turbos... im just tired of all the hondas in mags and on the streets with the typical t3/t4 its cool and there are some fast t3's but im different... very different.

it's weird how i dont ever hang out with hondas on the weekends... i have not really hung out with hondas since i was hanging out with wet dreamz when they all hung out at my house since jesus was dating my older sister.... then i went to cali!

This is my .02..

If you had a 45r, or even smaller, on 40 PSI 3 or 4 years ago, then you would be way ahead of the game, and you would have taken picture after picture. Now, I'm by no means calling you a liar, but I would most definitely like to see the dyno chart, and pics of this Rex. It sounds awesome, I just have to see it to believe it, ya feel me.

yeah like a destroyed turbo.... the first one will back up and puke oil out the seals, the second one will starve and grenade.

split the lines, use prefilters. if you had to ask this you shouldnt be working on your car.
