hesitation

Hey guys,

My brother has a 2001 civic dx. Lately he has had some serious hesitation/sputtering while driving. He notices it intermittantly in all driving conditions (accelerating, decelerating, cold, warm, etc). When it happens a CEL comes on, but goes away when it stops. I haven't had a chance to look at it myself, but want to narrow down what it might be. My suspicion would lead me to think its either a bad O2, bad Air sensor, or something along those lines. Anyone have any suggestions? TIA

i was gonna ask about o2 sensor before i finished reading the post. when my d17 had a bad o2 sensor it hesitated very badly. a quick fix, that strangely enough, got rid of the hesitation was i unplugged the clip for the primary o2 sensor and just zip tied it off

i have a bad 02 before the cat and my car it a slug right now so it can be the 02
