I NEED cheaper insurance. :idiot:

The point here was I'd like to lower my car eventually. I don't need $50,000 suspension but I also don't need something that rides like shit. I'm looking for suspension suggestions from DC5 OWNERS.
Thanks

If you want something cost effective to simply lower your car, pick up your favorite brand springs for under $200 and call it a day.
I'm running Tein S. Techs, has a nice staggered drop 1.7 in front, 1.4 in back. I will be graduating to Tein coilovers soon. Springs didn't do anything crazy for handling. stiffer, lower, than norm. Just like when you lower any car on springs.

I recommend Tein S. Techs as well. Anything else is gonna be very rough and bumpy.

Thank you both, I like the first drop pictures better. I don't miss scraping or having to drive 6 ways to go over speedbumps.

I've never worked on anything newer than 2000, I've read the suspension differs from older Honda's. Estimation of time to install the S Tech's? Tricks/Shortcuts/Hints/Things to watch out for? Does the suspension differ from 02-04 and 05-06?

Difference between the RSX suspension and other honda suspension is that RSX is NOT Double-Wishbone. MacPherson Struts in the front, Wishbone in the back. And yes, there is a difference between 02-04 and 05-06, mainly the springs are wound differently I believe. So you can't mix-and-match springs between the two models. Thats actually one of the only things that isn't interchangeable

are you just looking to lower the car for looks & comfort? or are you looking to improve performance?

Not looks, mostly comfort. I don't need the performance as I don't think I'll be taking any 75mph corners any time in the future.

The girl's A-Spec sits lower and when I drive it, I realize how much I like being closer to the road. I want a comfortable ride that isn't too low. It looks like I'll be going with the S-Techs. The basics look good too but I may be sold on the Techs for now. If I don't like them, I can always do something else.

Who (with experience) wants to install them for me ... $$

EXACTLY! I think the RSX looks fat w/o the Spoiler..imo. You should hook your's up with the 05-06 aspec kit, looks :tits:
BTW, the ASpec drop on your girl's ride is an all around 1 inch drop, expect your's to be lower and a lil stiffer.
