Short Ram Question

Alright my buddy has a 2002 civic hx with an aem short ram model number 22-501. He just got a cold air intake so he's wants to hook his short ram up on my car (2004 honda civic lx)since I don't have one yet. However in looking on AEM's website model number is different 22-503. Is there any real difference in the intake? Are the sensor sizes or pieces any different? Is the tube diameter any different? Any help on this would be great since i'm starting at 9am tommarrow morning gutting the stock airbox for install.....

no idea..i know the air temp sensor is the same size.
if i recall the hx is similar to the ex in some ways. and the lx short ram has a bracket in a different location than the ex short ram. so this hx short ram could be the same as an ex short ram. or i could just be making stuff up. but i think it has to do with the mounting bracket

well i just did some research and i am correct in thinking the hx intake is the same as the ex.

Just installed it this morning. No cel or anything and everything mounted up just fine. Sounds better too without the aem filter that came original on it.
