It is my condenser that is the problem. The fins are all really bent up so air is not flowing through them. This is causing the condenser to get scolding hot. When the fans are sucking air they are sucking scolding hot air from the condenser which is then heating up the radiator. But when the ac is off the condenser is cold. Which explains why the car only overheats with the ac on.

Have you fixed your overheating problem? If not I found this to be a good read:

JustinD and Mike know there stuff. Them as well as many others, including my brother and I have had issues with getting the air bubbles out of the system. If you get those out, your problems should go away. Best thing to do is jack the front end up really high, take the radiator cap off, run the car and watch the coolant levels. The idea is to get the radiator and cap above the engine so that the bubbles will come out. Sounds too simple to be true but it works.

unlike popular vote my problem was not air bubbles....it was a fan shroud issue
