How do I get one of these things? Is it worth it? are exporting/importing fees outrageous? What kind of hoops would you have to jump through to make it U.S. legal? Just throwin' it out there.

You can get them. But they will have to come to america dissassembled. You would be better off just getting an Si and doing the front and rear convertions on it.

bah. i was afraid of something like that. I'm trying to scheme to somehow get my cousin to hook it up. He's stationed in Japan, and the military ships your car home free. I could wire him some $$$ and he could buy it for me. I wonder if this would work...

That still wont work. I am a Marine myself and tried working that out. If the car isn't legal in the US they wont bring it over. And I also believe you have to be an E6 or above in rank to bring a car over.

the type s = Si and the regular csx = ex. you might even look for one on ebay, best way to get started

it means to ship the car to you in pieces and you assemble it as you get them

The military loophole is no good anyways, its only for a year, then it must be RI'd or shipped out again.

I was really hoping this was gonna work, but not one hit! no craigslist, no ebay motors, no autotrader, no az classifieds, no google. only ones I can find are in canada. BOOO. I must have this car! I've only got 6 months to figure it out.

holy crap. I shopped around today at some canadian acura sites, and MSRP is 10k+ more than an si! I'll probly just get an si and convert it. :(

no, that means that the drive train is separate from the car, nothing more.

i say just buy a si sedan here and buy the jdm font end and rear end. the only diff then would be left hand drive . still will look sharp.

it will actually be more than 36k our money is worthless right now in other contry's if ur looking at 36k in canadian dollars ur probably gonna spends around 40k in us dollars plus more to export it into the us.. just but an si lol

full swap front/rear swap on an si sedan + nice cw paint job + FD2 wheels would be way less than 36k
