So a family friend asked me for help with website stuff. I said sure and they said how much? I told them $20 cause it wasn't too difficult and I know em.. she says $100. I said sure, that's fine too.

I did the work, then she drops off a check when I'm not here for $50.

It depends on how close this "Family Friend" is to you ?. If it was a total stranger i would ask for the entire 100.00, But if its someone close to me i personally wouldn't care about how much they paid me.

"when i originally quoted you a price of $20 i planned on doing $20 dollars worth of work. when you offered me $100 i stepped up the effort and time spent on the project and did $100 worth of work. now that it is completed, i expect to be compensated what i was promised."
