My friends is having problems with his 07 si, it wont let him pass 3000 rmps. All he did was he changed his o2 sensor, because he messed it up trying to get his exhaust out. now after he changed it the car wont pass 3000 rpms. Some help please Thanks.

Does it have a check engine light on? Did he by an oem replacement or a universal o2 sensor?If it's still under warranty I would just take it to the dealer and they'll probably fix it for free. its worth a shot the wearst they could say is its not covered. Just my .02

He bought a universal i think. and i dont think his car still under warranty..........and yes it has the check engine light on....The car just wont pass 3k rpms. Any more input thanks!!

check the oil...could be in limp mode cause there isnt enough oil
