So im in the market for another ride and selling my Civic. I have always liked the GS 300 and I found a couple in my price range. So I wanted to see if any of you have any experince with Lexus cars and how good they car. Also any problems with their auto trannys since most of them come with autos and not manual tranny which I would have preffered. So give me your input.
Here's a pic of the GS im going to check out

Good to hear good reviews on the Lexus. Does it cost much to maint a Lexus?? Also did any of them come with a manual tranny??

I have owned an Ls400 for a few months now, and I have to say this car has blown away all of my expectations by FAR. It just runs and runs and runs, and does it smoothly. I would make the investment again in a heartbeat!

If you take it to a dealer, I'm sure it will be costly. Other than that, no. The only thing I have bought for mine is brakes, just bought rotors that were like $30 a piece, and pads were about 30 I think. Not bad.

I believe some GS did come in manual, not sure though. I know my model came in manual.

I don't really know of GS forums, just IS forums. But check out clublexus.com, I am sure you can get info there.

This model has the same engine/tranny as a Supra, what more do you need to know?

Im looking to make the switch too. The only models that come with a manual is the 02+ is300, and SC300's. They are pretty hard to find. Most people that originally purchase those cars arent looking for manual trannys.

I was also looking into a lexus (namely is300) but luxory cars steered me away. A buddy of mine has a bmw 540i and he always has to take that sumbitch into the dealer or bmw ceritified specialist like brakes, power steering fluid leaking and other shit too.

Now its between an is300/g35/350z
