????93 del sol...ecu...p28????

so i just got a chipped p28 that the guy marked 95 civic ex vtec auto.... i hooked it up today to my 93 del sol and it wouldnt let me come out of park, so i over rided it and put into drive and the rpms were all over the place. did he sale me the wrong ecu or did i buy the wrong one. guys help me out. is it not for an auto and he just played it off?

That's really all it sounds like.

so all i need to do is change the chip? for an auto? the interchangable chip is what controles everything for the 5spd and auto as well?

take the screws out and post a pic of the inside.
i'll tell you what it is.
but you can't chip auto ecus.
autos are labled p28-a51, or something close. the important number is the 5. a zero indicates manual trans.
is your car an auto?
