Okay okay... So I was nominated by my family to be the "padrino de bebidas" (godfather of drinks) at my cousin up coming "Quincenera". Why they picked me I dunno, lol. Anywho the party is said to have 200 guests prolly a lil more. So here's my question how many kegs should I buy? lol

Trust me I know about drinking! I just don't get kegs, lol. I usually buy 30 packs but in this case with this many people it's smarter to get kegs.

we had 10 kegs at my sisters quince for like 400 heads.....which like 300 were drinking...my family loves to drink....

at my hotel we had a celebration similar to this and the party ordered two kegs, they didnt even finish the first. most mothers/women dont drink beer (or alot of beer), the men at the party will drink, but depending on where its at, what time, and what there is to eat, i doubt you would need more then one keg.

if you dont feel comfortable with just one, buy three cases of beer, thats an extra 72 beers, that way you could get a keg or your fav beer, then a case of three seperate beers to ensure everyone has something they like to drink.

i think a keg has a good 130-135 cups of beer due to foam, spilling, and the size of each pour. also take into account the size of cups, if you use the standard red at 12, the bigger red at 16, or the clear solos at 20oz, this will also affect the perception of the amount of beers by your guests.

actually I suggest 4. and get pitchers to serve it, that way they'll have to fill a pitcher instead of cups so it'll dispense more from the keg. if you see you're running low you can always hit up any liquor store to get more.
