do kids still play board games or have they moved on to exclusivley video games?

they're trying to spice up old games cause nobody buys them or plays them anymore. clue now has three new weapons, a baseball bat, trophey, and a fucking pistol w/ silencer (instead of the trusty revolver)...

idk, i used to play alot of board games, i know kids can talk on blue tooth on PS3 and through Xbox Live, but board games seem to have the real face to face communication quality. brought the family together like no round of "Call of Duty" ever could...

I go and play with my neighbors almost every weekend, just have to pick the right games. "Malarky" "Apples to Apples" and theres a bunch of other little ones that are pretty fun. Theres always the basics, like Monopoly (which I think Every kid should be Forced to play).

I just got into RPGs, after several months. Its not Dungeons and Dragons, its more about stats and equations and stuff. I have no clue what its called, but its not too bad. Definitely motivates a kids imagination, and involves math and all that good shit.

What are board games? Last board game i played was pokemon monopoly when i was 15.
Alot of board games involve luck which makes it fun because anyone can win.

I like to play chess but I usaually only play it on my phone against the cpu or another person that has it downloaded

I played a lot of strategic board games when I was younger because my parents really thought if I played more board games I would be more productive in school too. Games based on luck werent really in the picture lol. Games I usually played were:
Chess
Axis & Allies
Risk
d20
Scategories
Scrabble
Monopoly

Its true, kids don't seem to have the patience for board games n e more.

But every family getogether, we play Apples to Apples and Scene It. Both great games.
