I lowered my car an inch all the way around and i was wondering if anyone knows what size spacers I need for my axle's so there not stressed out.

Also if anyone is selling any of them too with the extended bolts.

Thanks for reading. :type::thumbsup:

wait, what? Axle spacers? Why would there be any additional stress on your axles from lowering your car?

The original driveshafts of the S2000 is design at the stock ride height so when the car is lowered with coil springs or coil-over suspension then the driveshafts will be stretched about 10mm each side. This will occur a lot of stress to the driveshaft. As a result, the driveshaft will wear down in a very short period of time.

ohh driveshaft, that makes more sense.

If thats the case then just get a custom driveshaft made. They aren't super expensive... I think they are only like 200 (ish) for a steel one.

I don't know if a driveshaft spacer is a good idea b/c it could possibly throw the balance off and you'll get mad vibrations.

No its AXLE spacers. NOT driveshaft.

In the exploded view, it goes where I circled.

When the car is lowered it changes the angle of the axles(and driveshaft)...but in the S2000's case it puts added stress on the axles. Basically pulling on the axles.

I personally have them on my car. I made them awhile back but i dont have anymore left. I used 10mm. Do not go over 10. I would get between 7mm and 10mm. Any of them out there would work but i sugest gettign the ones that are split in 2. Makes the install way easier. Just my .02

If i don't i have to take out the top ball joint to get them far enought apart to slide them in huh?

And it doesn't change the angle of the DRIVESHAFT cause its independent rear suspsion. The diff doesn't change at all cause its mounted to the body. :snookems:

Bumpsteer spacer goes underneath the steering rack mounts and changes the angle of the tie rods (not as much needed as a rear BUMPSTEER KIT). Your not low enough to cause any issues. I would just get the axle spacers for now.

you can get them from various companies like T1R or J's etc etc....try on the big forum and you will find good deals.

The anti bumpsteer kit is to deal with the issue the ap1s had. If you don't drive it hard/track it or something, then you should be fine.

I do drive it hard but lately I haven't cause gas is to expensive!! I did corner so hard that my rear upper ball joint totally came out!!! Idk wtf happened. You have to buy the whole upper control arm too. But it wasn't too expensive.
