how can i check a chip

I have a chipped ecu that's socketed and want 2 know wat all does it do. I got from a friend and he also didn't know to much about it other than it's chipped. Is there any were i can get it checked for free or cheap.

u need to find someone who has a chip reader/programmer

what program was used to chip it?? i can program the chip to ur motor and mods, wen u want vtec to kick in, rev limiter, speed limiter...i can rechip it for $20 in a few minutes for you. lmk
