View Full Version : Thinking about a S2000 lots a noobie questions

i was thinking about getting an s2000 maybe in about a year or so, and i just wanna figure out as much as possible

my main question is between getting a ap1 or ap2. im leaning towards a ap1, are they pretty much the same or is the 2.2 engine noticebly faster? Also planning on eventualy using forced induction so yeah, ap1 or ap2 is one better or easier for a turbo setup

Anyone have a turbo setup? any good links on tubo info for s2000's

How much do hardtops cost? do the ap1 and ap2 use the same hardtop? im interested in the regular hardtops, ive read the dealer sells them for $3000+ any other info, sites on hardtops?

ap1 and ap2 have different head lights tail lights and front and rear bumper...about it being faster maybe a bit faster but not noticable....only thing i like about my ap1 is the 9000redline but i would rather have an ap2...also ap2 has traction control and better looking interior.... i would stay away from the 00-01 ap1's though...carpet center console and plastic window FTL.... and hardtops are the same

They have a leather cover to get rid of that ugly carpet. I installed one in my buddies s2k and it turned out looking nice. You can choose the color of the leather and the color of the stitching. It's an option unless you want the AP2 center piece.

I was looking at those last night. I'm good friends with an interior guy, so I'm weighing my options. I want to avoid not going the oem route if at all possible, it's just so much money for nothing from the dealer.
