Here it is one one the last TNT for this year at SIR theres another one on December 13, but that will be to cold for me. the one coming up on the 22 is a day time race i plan on being there if the car acts right and i dont want to be one of the only hondas out the so i hopwe some fast tucson people show up.

i did 13.2s at 111mpgh. 2.1 60'. My friend drove my car and he pulled 12.9s at 107mph or something. I need more seats time lol. i misshifted 2nd gear like 60% of the race. grrrrrrrrrrr

My car ran a 13.2 1.9 60ft 107mph on the motor and 12.9 1.8 60ft 108mph on the bottle( Driven by David Larsen team racing driver) More to come with a Tune.

I only say that because about a year ago he called my car a piece of shit at a gas station on the east side. I asked him to run, and he threw out the excuses.. I'm not a huge fan of that..

I find it pretty impressive for a 19 year old car that was damn near stock to run the times it did, and on street tires none the less. He rubbed me the wrong way, that is all. I like your Accord btw man. :thumbup:

I just wish I could leave harder.. >.< I came out at like 3000 rpm that pass to test the track, and cut a 1.89 60'.. I want to leave more along the lines of 4500 rpm, and cut low 1.7's. That would probably push me into the high 11's.

I ran on drag radials yesterday too man.. I left the line at around 3000 rpm... I tried leaving at 4000 the next run, and spun.. I cut a 1.94 that run.. My 12.2 pass, I cut a 1.89 60'. lol.

that was probably me. You were with your buddy right after a run right?
The next thing to try is dropping your tire pressure down lower. Most of us run slicks at 10 psi. take the DR to 14 then 13 etc see how it acts. you have to feel it out.

You need to launch higher as well. Once you launch your falling out of power band. You want to launch and stay in power band. If you have any questions and are gonna go out let one of us know and we will do everything we can to help you get that thing into a low 12 where it should be!

his power band is completely diffent rom a four cylinder. "our" power band is much higher we have to rev it high because we dont make the tourque he does to keep our engines speeds up. Youll drop about 2000 rpms from your launch so keep in mind where vtec and you peak boost levels are when staging.

Very true. Granted, my camshaft is designed to make power from 3000 to 7000 rpm, I still have a lot of low end grunt compared to you guys. It can also be a bad thing though, because it shocks the tires really hard, and I spin a lot..

Some people just weren't made to drive but practice makes perfect and i believe thats all it took for me to get the idea, also what you need to ask yourself is do I have a good setup? Have you done anything to improve traction? Lsd? Torque Dampner? Drag radials? slicks? the improper set up can make a bad ass setup perform lower than expected or capabale of , I went 12.8 at 112.99 on drag radials my 2nd run down in my boosted ek, but I had lsd and drag radials and was prepared for the track and still think couple more runs and I could have improved my time but since I dripped a drop of oil that night they didn't let me run anymore and now my engine is fucked. Talk about setups, I should have setup my block for boost!

16 psi sounds good I run about the same in my drag radials, and 5500 rpm sounds a little high especially considering k20 has good torque to begin with, are you just popping the clutch or playing with the pedal? Are you running k-pro? If so do you have the launch control on?

I'll be there Dec 14th aswell. Try lowering your tire pressure even more. I had my Mickey Thomson's at 13psi, and that's still to high. Most people have the best luck around 11 psi with my tires. Try yours at 13psi and see how they like it. Do a good burnout before too.

Just pull forward until you feel the front wheels barely come out of the little dip in the ground. Give it a little clutch kick in the water too. And I mean BARELY. Just enough to turn the tires over once. Any more, and you'll splash water into your wheel wells, and that'll drip on your tires after the burnout. After that, set the e-brake, and do a burnout. :thumbup:
