should i sand my teg all the way to the bare metal? also im using 40 grit sand paper and the 80. is that too rough. seems to take forever with those. Prabably gonna paint it satin black

you can prime over 150 grit scratches and then block with 320 then finish primerin 600 grit wet. as far as stripping your car it totally up to u you dont have to unless the paint is breaking apart

Noo man u dont have to sand ur car to bare metal u only have to take ur clear coat of with a 200 or 240 and then use a block with 600 prime should cover up the sraches then after prime u shoul wash ur car with and 800 scrub to make sure u hace no grease spots on there so ur paint doesnt run... After paint it does not reqire sanding just two coats of clear after two of base if ur using base+clear.

How could you give advise like this when you dont even know enough info, he could be creating alot of work for himself that way.....
